SUPERVISION

Supervision is the formal journey from theory to practice for those embarking upon the Qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology (QSEP-Stage 2).  This doctoral level qualification leads to eligibility for chartered membership of the BPS.  The QSEP (Stage 2) involves structured supervised practice over a period of 2, 3 or 4 years, depending on whether you wish to train on a full-time or a part-time basis and your access to appropriate development opportunities.

An accredited supervisor and supervision skills trainer with the British Psychological Society (RAPPS), my supervision programme builds upon the academic components of your Stage 1 training, enabling you to develop and demonstrate your skills to doctoral level in professional practice, consultancy and communication.

While starting on your journey to become a sport and exercise psychologist can be daunting, my mission is to enable you to move through the process in a positive and clear-headed way and help you develop your skills and qualities to become the best practitioner you can be. Through a process of practice, collaboration, feedback, observation and discussion, we will work together on a highly individualised programme, the goal of which is that you leave the supervision process competent and confident to practice independently as a sport or exercise psychologist in a range of settings.
